1. Who we are — and who we are not

fukuokasumo.tokyo ("the Site", "we") is an independent, privately operated information website about sumo-related travel in Japan. The Site is not the official website of the Japan Sumo Association (日本相撲協会), the Fukuoka Kokusai Center, the Fukuoka Convention Center, the Asakusa Sumo Club, GetYourGuide, Headout, or any other venue, organiser or ticket seller. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of these organisations. Their names and trademarks appear on the Site solely to identify the events, venues and services being described, and remain the property of their respective owners.

2. No ticket sales; affiliate disclosure

We do not sell tickets and do not process payments. Links marked as booking links lead to third-party platforms licensed to sell the relevant experiences (currently GetYourGuide and Headout). Any contract of sale is between you and that platform and/or the experience operator, under their terms and cancellation policies. We may receive a commission for qualifying bookings made through our links, at no additional cost to you. This funding model does not alter our editorial descriptions.

3. Information accuracy

We compile prices, dates, schedules, seat categories and venue rules from official sources and partner listings, and we aim to keep them current. Nevertheless, all such details are provided for general guidance only, can change without notice, and are not guaranteed. The authoritative source is always the official website of the relevant organisation or the booking page at checkout. We accept no liability for decisions made in reliance on the Site's content, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4. Intellectual property

Original text, layout and graphics on the Site are protected by copyright. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link; wholesale reproduction requires our written permission via info@fukuokasumo.tokyo. Third-party photographs and embedded widgets remain subject to their own rights and terms.

5. Third-party content and links

Embedded booking widgets are operated by their respective platforms, which set their own cookies and privacy terms; external links are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for third-party sites' content or practices.

6. No warranty; limitation of liability

The Site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude liability for any direct or indirect loss arising from use of the Site, including missed events, price differences, schedule changes or booking issues handled by third parties.

7. Changes

We may update these terms at any time; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
