We're an independent travel guide for people who want to see live sumo in Japan β and keep hitting Japanese-only ticket sites, conflicting schedules and sold-out weekends.
What this site is
fukuokasumo.tokyo collects, in one place and in plain language, everything a visitor needs to plan a sumo day: how the November Kyushu Basho at the Fukuoka Kokusai Center works, what tickets genuinely cost, which seats suit which travellers, and what to do the other ten and a half months of the year when tournament sumo isn't in town.
We compile facts β dates, prices, timetables, venue rules β from official sources such as the Japan Sumo Association and the published listings of licensed booking platforms, and we say so when a figure is approximate or seasonal. When something can change, we tell you to verify it at the source rather than pretending our copy of the number is eternal.
What this site is not
We are not the Japan Sumo Association, not the Fukuoka Kokusai Center, not any show operator, and we sell no tickets ourselves.
